Job Description

Principal objectives of job:

  • Lead the design and planning of new, or modifications to existing computer systems (both Business and IT related Systems), including:
  • Liaising with Business Stakeholders to understand and define business requirements
  • Investigation and evaluation of suitable systems / modules to meet business and technology needs.
  • Liaising with Suppliers.
  • Upgrade existing and/or Implement new software packages (both Business and IT related systems).
  • Project Management – Managing the full project life cycle and key stakeholders.
  • Development and/or Customization, where necessary, to supplement existing software packages to accommodate Branch requirements. (languages including RPG, CL, VBA, SQL)
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of Audit, Regulatory and Security issues.
  • Assist with the creation and documentation of IT Policies and Procedures and Controls.
  • Promote and ensure knowledge transfer within the department by training other IT Staff according to your areas of expertise.
  • Provide technical training for Business Staff for systems under your responsibility.
  • Assist the Head of IT as required, ensuring the smooth running of the IT department and computer systems.
  • Keep abreast of technology trends and development.

  • Core Banking knowledge including Business Products (General Ledger, Loans, Deposits, FX, Payments), and Technical Banking Systems (Equation, SWIFT, Aqua Global).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products including Office, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Windows Server.
