Job Description

Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Is Not Limited To) :

  • Keep informed and up-to-date on the performance of marketing initiatives
  • Provide ideas and input for the marketing strategy and tactics
  • Assist the Marketing team with market analysis
  • Keep up-to-date new developments in the marketplace
  • Assist with gathering market intelligence (environmental, customer and competitive)
  • Support the Marketing team in carrying out research
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in the creative process as needed
  • Ensure orders for marketing material are placed timeously
  • Ensure marketing materials are distributed timeously to internal and external partners
  • Assist the PR & Communications Manager with ad hoc functions like preparing material for internal use and distribution
  • Assist the CSI Manager with ad hoc functions as required
  • Assist the Digital Marketing Manager with business requirements in that domain like creating and posting across social media platforms
  • Evaluate sponsorship request that have been submitted and feedback or redirect accordingly
  • Co-ordinate arrangements for approved sponsorship events/initiatives
  • Arrange branding and marketing items for sponsorship events
  • Attend events to ensure the brand is represented correctly
  • Report back on customer experience
  • Manage and upload all invoices of the marketing department and ensure payments are made timeously
  • Co-ordinate internal and external meetings for the marketing team
  • Action the relevant process to ensure supplier payments are made timeously
  • Ensure artwork files are kept updated and stored correctly

Key Requirements :

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
  • Related tertiary qualification (Essential)
  • 1 year administrative or marketing experience (Essential)
  • Relevant industry experience (Desirable)
  • 1 year experience with B2C social media, Google AdWords and email campaigns (Desirable)
  • Experience in Facebook Ads Management and Tag management for Google and Facebook (Desirable)
  • Experience in Google Analytics Reporting and Insights (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of marketing principles (Essential)
  • Knowledge of marketing & communication media processes (Essential)
  • Knowledge of the Mukuru products (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of online advertising platforms (Essential)
  • Knowledge of social media (Essential)
